Drag a box on the picture. The average color in the box will be set as the page background, and the colors that are in the box will be highlighted in the image.

Why?

A recent talk from some folks at the EPA got me interested in automatic color detection (the talk was in regardes to Harmful Algal Blooms and enabling citizens to report them in the wild).

This works with Google Chrome on desktop and mobile devices. I don't know if it works on Safari yet. I'd really like to get it to work with Firefox, but it causes an error "NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE" to draw the Video element to a Canvas. Does anyone know why that happens and if there is a fix?
